If you love your oat, almond, or soy milk in your Dunkin’ coffee, you’re in for some great news! Starting March 5th, Dunkin’ will no longer charge extra for non-dairy milk alternatives. That means whether you prefer traditional dairy or plant-based options, you won’t have to pay a premium – just order your favorite drink and enjoy!
Why Is Dunkin’ Making This Change?
This move follows in the footsteps of Starbucks, which made a similar change last October after facing a class action lawsuit over nondairy upcharges. Dunkin’ also recently faced a lawsuit in 2024 over the same issue, so it looks like they’re making the change to keep things fair for everyone.
Other Chains Have Already Made the Switch
Big names like Dutch Bros, Tim Hortons, Scooter’s Coffee, and Panera Bread have already eliminated extra fees for plant-based milks. Advocacy groups like No Milk Tax have been pushing for this change for years, and it seems the pressure is finally paying off!
How Much Will You Save?
Non-dairy milk upcharges usually range from 50¢ to $1 per drink. If you’re a regular Dunkin’ customer who always opts for oat, almond, or soy milk, this means noticeable savings over time – that’s money in your pocket. So next time you grab your morning coffee, enjoy your oat, almond, or soy milk for free!
